about

Things we love to know before performing at a venue:

-do you allow covers?
we like to sprinkle a few covers into our sets, but can function easily without them.

-do you have a piano?
especially for acoustic gigs, piano versions of some of our songs work really well and we love to get the chance to play them.

-do you have a place to sell merchandise?
we will have CDs and other items (posters, etc) to sale and distribute if you have a table to do so.

In addition, here are Tech Requirements for our shows::

MILO - vocals, loop pedal

*Needs a microphone and stand
*Boss RC-30 Loop Pedal :: needs two DI plugs for stereo output (2 x 1/4")
(Our own Shure SM7b microphone goes directly into the loop pedal)

OTIS - bass, drum machine, guitar, piano, vocals

*Needs a microphone and stand
*Fender Bassman 100W Amp :: hefty volume on its own, has XLR output if venue desires sound reinforcement
*MPC 2000xl :: needs two DI boxes for stereo output (2 x 1/4")

We do not bring our own engineer.
At times we may ask musicians in a city to join us for a performance (drums, keyboards).

Here's a selection of past venues M&O played:

-Real Talk Live at Elastic Arts
-Panchos (now Township)
-Young Chicago Authors feature artist
-Donna's Cafe
